Taco van der Werf has been taking photographs for most of his life and has been working as a professional freelancer since 1998. A native of Holland, his photographs of architecture, interiors and events demonstrate his desire to capture the inherent beauty in both people and places – at home and abroad. He has a particular expertise in portraiture and uses whatever resources he has available to bring out the best in each individual and draw the viewer into the picture. Taco’s passion for photography stems from his desire to show each subject in the best light possible. He “photographs with his heart” and brings creativity and enthusiasm to every project, whether the photo is commissioned by an individual or is part of a commercial assignment. A recent exhibition said this about him: "In his outdoor photography he has the ability to find and catch that special light, making much of his work instantly recognisable; strong composition, high brightness and strong colours being the main characteristics." Taco is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
